Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Systems Project Engineer to deliver integrated security projects across diverse client sectors. You will lead on-site engineering efforts, install and hand over systems, and collaborate with design, projects and operations teams to ensure successful delivery from design through handover.

The role requires hands-on leadership, client interaction, and a strong technical background in CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and integrated security systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within the security industry.

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of electronic security projects, ensuring installation, commissioning and handover.
• Supervise and support engineering teams, subcontractors and suppliers across multiple sites.
• Conduct site surveys, review technical designs and provide expert guidance on security systems.
• Coordinate project planning, testing, client demonstrations and compliance with British Standards and company procedures.
• Produce project and audit reports while driving continuous improvement and technology adoption.

About The Role

OCS Security is seeking an experienced Security Systems Project Engineer to deliver integrated security projects across a diverse client base including Public, Private, Construction, Retail, Commercial, and Sports Venues.

This is a hands‑on role requiring the successful candidate to lead projects while working alongside engineers to install, commission, and deliver security systems. The role also includes working closely with the OCS Design, Projects, and Operational Teams to ensure successful project delivery from design through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Experience

Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Axis, Dallmeier, LenelS2, Milestone, Synectics, Salto, Gallagher and Honeywell is desirable. Equivalent enterprise-level security systems experience will also be considered.

Essential Experience

• 3-5 years' experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within the security industry.
• Proven delivery of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarm and integrated security systems projects.
• Experience leading engineering teams whilst maintaining a hands‑on technical approach.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics and design documentation.
• Experience working with clients, contractors and key project stakeholders.
• Knowledge of RAMS, safe systems of work and relevant industry standards.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Essential Qualifications

• Electrical or Security‑related qualification.
• ECS and/or CSCS Card.
• IPAF and PASMA certifications.
• SSSTS qualification.
• First Aid at Work certificate.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Qualifications

• SC Clearance.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Bluebeam Revu.
• Fibre Optic and/or Networking certifications.
• Project Management qualification.
