Job summary

JD GROUP at Kingsway Distribution Centre is recruiting a Security Supervisor to take full ownership of the security operation during the shift. You will deploy the security team, ensure posts are covered, and maintain high standards of incident reporting and records.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong people management, and experience in investigations, HR processes, and reducing risk on site. Night shift premiums apply and a competitive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a security officer role with supervisory experience or readiness to step into supervision.
• Strong leadership and people management skills for on-site team.
• Experience with HR processes including return to works and absence management.
• Ability to carry out thorough, fair and objective investigations and produce clear written records.
• Organised and detail-oriented with high standard for admin tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the security operation during the shift and ensure posts are covered.
• Brief the team at shift start with tasks and priorities.
• Monitor task completion and ensure SOP compliance.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with officers and document outcomes.
• Carry out initial investigations into security incidents and policy breaches.
• Maintain site safety, security and compliance during the shift.
• Oversee gatehouse processes and visitor/contractor checks.
