Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Supervisor in Blyth to oversee the security function on client premises. You will lead daily operations, ensure adherence to policies, and maintain high professional standards.

The role demands strong communication, teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks reliably. You will supervise a security team, monitor CCTV and access control, investigate incidents and provide timely reports.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
  • SIA Front-Line License is essential; CCTV License is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily security team operations and ensure tasks are completed per Instructions and policies.
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems and respond to breaches promptly.
  • Lead, manage and develop direct reports including performance reviews and coaching.
  • Submit reports and KPI data accurately to relevant departments.
  • Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services during incidents.
  • Inspect security equipment and ensure proper functioning.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Supervisor in Blyth to oversee the performance and upkeep of the security function on one of our esteemed clients' premises. You will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of your team and ensure all colleagues are adhering to their duties and maintaining a high level of professionalism and security presence.

You will work - 60hrs per week, Mon - Fri 0600 - 1800

What you will need:
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
  • A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable.
  • Full UK Driving License - advantageous due to location.
  • Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
  • Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards
What are you going to do:
  • Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring the team are fulfilling all their daily tasks and adhering to Assignment Instructions and Corps Security policies.
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems and respond to any security breaches/incidents in an efficient and timely manner - ensuring escalation processes are adhered to.
  • To lead, manage and motivate direct reports including; goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development training, and monitor attendance/timekeeping.
  • Prompt and accurate submission of all necessary reports and performance measurement documentation to the appropriate departments.
  • To monitor all staff and contractor activities on the site including the 'control of contractors', recording of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during emergencies.
  • Regularly inspect security equipment (e.g. CCTV, Access Control, Alarms) and ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
  • Investigate any security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure effective communication across departments with integrating security measures into all operational factors, including events, facility management, and safety or all persons on site.
  • Attainment of Corps Security KPI's and assist with investigation of apparent non-conformance.
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required.
