Job summary
Zitko Group Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Project Engineer to lead security system installations across the Midlands. The role combines hands-on commissioning with project coordination and client management, offering progression into senior leadership while staying technically involved.
You should bring strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder and Intercom systems, plus a UK driving licence and CSCS/ECS card.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electronic security systems.
- Driving licence and CSCS/ECS card required.
- Experience with Gallagher/IPAF/EUSR/IOSH advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in senior installation/commissioning role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and commissioning CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, Intercom systems.
- Coordinating engineers and subcontractors on site.
- Attending pre-start, coordination and client/contractor meetings.
- Carrying out system testing, commissioning and post-installation inspections.
- Managing customer handovers and delivering system training.
- Providing technical support and mentoring apprentices.
- Working closely with Project Managers to resolve technical or delivery issues.
- Ensuring projects meet relevant British Standards, H&S requirements and client expectations.
