Job summary

ASOS is recruiting a Security Operations and Incident Response Specialist to join our Security Operations team. You’ll protect ASOS from cyber threats while continuously improving our security posture. This hands-on role suits problem-solvers who enjoy collaboration and ongoing learning.

You’ll monitor, investigate, tune alerts, and contribute to incident management, with opportunities to coach others and advance security practices across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security Operations or Incident Response.
• Experience guiding others in security/technical settings.
• Knowledge of detection engineering and IOCs.
• Experience using Microsoft security tools to investigate threats.
• Interest in improving processes from incidents and investigations.
• Interest in building automation or playbooks to improve SOC efficiency.
• Commitment to continuous learning and helping others grow.

Responsibilities

• Monitor endpoints and triage security alerts through to resolution.
• Investigate potential malware and suspicious activity.
• Tune alerts and improve processes to reduce alert fatigue.
• Act as SME in a core security domain (e.g., network monitoring, Microsoft tooling, bot protection).
• Threat hunt across ASOS’ tech estate for risks and threats.
• Contribute to security processes, docs, and SOPs.
• Support incident escalation and participate in major incident management.
• Coach colleagues and promote a strong security culture.
• Stay informed on real-world threats and suggest detection improvements.
• Participate in on-call rota (1 week in 5).
