Responsibilities

Job description

Location: Milton Keynes, UK

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00), Monday-Sunday, 4 on / 4 off plus overtime

Contract: Fully on-site

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are seeking a Security Operations Centre Operator to join a dedicated security team. This role involves triaging security reports, coordinating emergency responses, validating alarms, and monitoring security risks across multiple locations. You will be part of a dynamic team ensuring the safety and security of people and assets. This role is on a temporary basis, starting immediately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor security alarms across multiple locations and dispatch personnel as needed.
  • Coordinate incident response and liaise with site contacts and emergency services.
  • Assist with CCTV video requests and provide timely updates.
  • Document and elevate incidents to management as required.
  • Produce risk assessments for new locations, high-risk travel, or operational changes.
  • Collaborate with SOC team members to maintain coverage and operational standards.
  • Support troubleshooting and escalation of access control, intrusion detection and fire alarm systems.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Previous experience in Security Operations / call centre.
  • Working knowledge of access control, surveillance, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with crisis management, disaster response, and emergency protocols.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Self-directed and capable of working independently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, Power Automate/BI).
