Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property and assets while delivering excellent customer service. You’ll operate to site procedures, conduct patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, respond to incidents, and support health and safety standards in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires a valid SIA licence (or willingness to obtain one), the right to work in the UK, a clean 5-year history, and the ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• 5-year checkable employment history.
• No unspent criminal convictions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and punctual approach.

• Must be over 18.
• Previous Security Officer experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular security patrols and site inspections.
• Protect people, property, and assets from loss, damage, and unauthorised access.
• Monitor access points, alarms, CCTV, and security systems.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Support emergency procedures, including evacuations and searches.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports and shift handovers.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, regulations and Assignment Instructions.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Uphold the core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
