Security Officer – Security Officer- Part Time/ Weekend Shift

Work location: Texas Health Mansfield Hospital: 2300 Lone Star Rd Mansfield, TX 76063

Work hours: Part Time (24 Hour) Weekend Shift; Saturday and Sunday from 1830-0630

What You’ll Do

• Patrol buildings and clinics for unlocked secured areas for after-hour entry.

• Lock and open doors according to schedules.

• Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.

• Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.

• Maintain compliance with Texas Health Police policies.

• Pursue and detain persons involved in criminal activity.

• Fill out incident/offense report forms and compose narratives.

• Utilize critical thinking skills and provide the appropriate level of force for the situation.

• Respond to and activate the appropriate emergency response code.

• Interact with and provide assistance to Police, Fire, EMS and other emergency staff as required.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or closely related field is preferred

Experience

• De-escalation and customer service experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• DL - Drivers License (Class C and insurable) upon hire required

• ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 days required

• NCSO - Non-Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 120 days required

• CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification. 120 days required

• TASER Certification - Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 120 days required
