Job summary

Kings Security in Rushden is seeking a Security Officer to protect client premises and assets, monitor access, conduct regular patrols, and respond quickly to incidents while upholding a high standard of service.

Shift pattern is 6 on, 3 off nights from 19:00 to 07:00 with a pay rate of £13.29 per hour. Benefits include pension, life assurance, employee recognition, and Wagestream access for financial wellbeing.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence or valid SIA training certificates.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communications Skills.
• Flexibility, willingness to work various shift patterns in line with operational needs.
• Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure, especially during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, ensuring they feel welcome and are directed to the appropriate area.
• Be receptive to the client’s concerns and resolve issues professionally and courteously.
• Provide high level customer service and maintain positive relationships with staff, visitors and contractors.
• Record activity accurately on documents in line with client and company procedures.
• Contribute to health and safety and report issues in accordance with guidelines.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor premises to identify risks.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and review footage as necessary.
• Make check calls and booking on/off calls.
• Control access to the premises and ensure only authorised personnel enter.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and document actions.
• Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents and irregularities.
• Collaborate with emergency services when required.
• Communicate clearly with a diverse range of people.
