Job summary

Canterbury Christ Church University is seeking a Security Officer for day shifts within the Estates and Facilities Department. You will help protect students, staff and guests, patrol campuses, monitor access control and CCTV, and respond to incidents with professionalism and clear communication.

The role requires a customer-focused approach, prior security or service experience, and a valid SIA licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or customer service-based work.
• SIA DS licence is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and secure environment for students, staff and guests.
• Monitor access control/CCTV and respond to security incidents.
• Support and travel between campus sites as required.
