What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Security Duty Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 24/7 security for Goodwood House and surrounding buildings
  • Responding to alarms, incidents, and emergencies with professionalism and care
  • Conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible security presence
  • Monitoring CCTV and managing communications from the control room
  • Supporting estate‑wide operations, including events and emergency response
  • Upholding the estate’s high standards and promoting our core values

This permanent full‑time position involves a rotating shift pattern of 42 hours per week, consisting of two day shifts, two night shifts, followed by four days off.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a professional security role (preferred)
  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential); Close Protection Licence (desirable)
  • First Aid at Work certificate (essential)
  • A valid manual driving licence
  • Strong communication, conflict management, and organisational skills
  • A calm, proactive, and adaptable approach – especially under pressure
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service with integrity and discretion
