Job summary

B&M Retail Limited in Selby is hiring a Retail Security Officer to safeguard people, products and the store while delivering a welcoming customer experience.

You’ll work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts as part of the store team, reporting to the Store Management Team and assisting with loss prevention, risk management and safety procedures.

• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively.

Are you a confident and professional Retail Security Officer? Do you enjoy safeguarding people, products, and store environments while delivering a welcoming customer experience?

Join our team in Selby and make a real difference!

In this role, you’ll be trusted with responsibility and play a vital role in safeguarding the store. Working closely with the Store Management Team, you’ll help prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being an integral part of the store team.

What you’ll be doing

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents
• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies
• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures
• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud
• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively
