Job summary

Argenbright Security Europe Limited (trading as ASEL) is seeking a Retail Security Officer for Deeside. You will provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, and complete detailed reports while working a 3-off/4-on and 4-off/Night pattern across 48 and 60 hour weeks.

Applicants must hold a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence and be able to provide a 5-year history, right to work documents, and proof of address. Training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible deterrence and respond to incidents in store locations.
• Complete incident reports and liaise with local authorities as required.
• Carry out guarding duties including access control, loss prevention and CCTV review.
• Report incidents digitally using tablets/phones and maintain detailed records.

Main Responsibilities

We believe that the best approach to deterring criminal activity is to understand the vulnerabilities and risk of each location, and bespoke our approach to effectively reduce risk. As a Retail Security Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with the local authorities.

You will be expected to carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in store, such as;

• Access Control - Gatehouse and Reception duties; welcoming, helping and directing those who seek your assistance, identifying any threat to security and escalating appropriately.
• Loss Prevention - Performing colleague and contractor searches when required in line with the Client’s Company policy
• Internal and external site patrols to deter criminal activity
• Working collaboratively with our Client to identify risk and review CCTV recordings as part of stock loss investigations
• Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
• Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning
• Detailed and Legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities
• Adheres to company policy in relation to Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities and complies with all policies and procedures as laid out in the current company handbook.

3 Officer - 48 hours - 4 on 4 off days & nights

1 Officer - 60 hours - WK 1 - 2 days, 3 nights 3 off, WK 2 - 3 days, 2 nights, 2 off

1 Officer - 60 hours - WK 1 - 5 on 2 off, WK 2 - 5 on 3 off nights only

Hourly Rate: £13.00

The Person

To be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator as you will be required to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You will need to be welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict in a professional manner.

Required Experience and Qualification

You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. Previous experience of working in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
