You will work as part of a great team to ensure the highest level of security for our client, safeguarding both premises and personnel.

  • Hours: on average 42 hours per week
  • Salary: £12.74 per hour
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off nights
  • Location: Swindon

Job Description
  • Protection of Property and Premises: Reception environment; prevent and deter unauthorised access to site; provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required; carry out routine tests of security equipment; manage keys and perform locking/unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions; ensure equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed per procedures; maintain logbooks/records; issue visitor/contractor passes; deal with lost property.
  • Health and Safety: provide support to staff, visitors, and contractors; ensure health and safety procedures are followed; record and report faults/hazards/unsafe practices; keep walkways and emergency escape routes clear; report First Aid usage; notify SOC in emergencies; investigate fire alarm activations.
  • Prevent Loss and Waste: report property at risk; during patrols switch off unnecessary lights and close windows.
  • Prevent and Deter Crime: operate radios/pagers/other security equipment; apply customer stop and search policies; conduct initial investigations and report incidents verbally and in writing.
  • Customer Service: demonstrate outstanding customer service; take responsibility for problems; maintain high standards of presentation; answer calls professionally.

Demonstrate understanding of Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness and comply with policies, procedures and training.
