Job summary

ASEL, part of the Argenbright Holdings Group, is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Stalybridge to deter crime, respond to incidents and report findings. You will patrol stores, identify risks, and coordinate with local authorities while maintaining professional conduct.

The role requires a valid SIA licence and a 5-year checkable history; full training is provided. 30-hour shifts, with a £12.75 hourly rate, based in Leech Street, Stalybridge.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
Assess vulnerabilities and minimise risk for the location.
Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
Complete colleague and contractor searches as required.
Digitally report incidents using tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
Provide detailed and legible incident reports to assist the Client and Local Authorities.

Main Responsibilities

We believe that the best approach to deterring criminal activity is to understand the vulnerabilities and risk of each location, and bespoke our approach to effectively reduce risk. As a Retail Security Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with the local authorities.

You will be expected to carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in store, such as;

Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity

Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to not cause distress
Completing colleague and contractor searches when required in line with customer company policy
Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning
Detailed and Legible incident reporting to assist the Client and Local Authorities

Location: Leech St,Stalybridge

Hours: 30 Hours

Shift Pattern:30 Hours - Thurs, Fri, Sat (14:05 - 22:05) & Sun (10:00 - 16:00)

Hourly Rate: £****12.75

The Person

To be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator as you will be required to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You will need to be welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict in a professional manner.

Required Experience and Qualification

You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. Previous experience of working in a Retail Security Role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

You must have a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply for this role
