Job summary

ISS UK is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, staff, visitors and property across hospital premises and car parks. You will deliver high-quality security services in line with SIA guidelines and Trust specifications.

Responsibilities include staying vigilant, preventing unauthorised access, reporting breaches, and assisting visitors with enquiries in a professional, helpful manner. This role emphasises safety, customer service, and a positive on-site presence within a hospital

Qualifications

• SIA license required to work in the UK security sector.
• Experience in hospital security or similar settings is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and professional appearance.

As a Security Officer with ISS UK, you will play a key role in creating a safe and secure environment, protecting colleagues, patients, visitors, and our customer's property, people, and assets through professional security operations.

This role is responsible for delivering a high-quality security service to patients, staff, visitors, and contractors across hospital premises and car parks, in line with Security Industry Authority (SIA) guidelines, company procedures, and Trust specifications.

You will carry out a range of duties to support the delivery of an efficient and effective security service across both internal and external environments. The role also involves assisting visitors with general enquiries in a professional, approachable, and helpful manner, ensuring a positive experience for everyone visiting the hospital site.

• Stay vigilant and identify any suspicious activities
• Prevent any unauthorised access
• Keep up to date with all the activity on site and have full knowledge of daily events
• Create a positive, professional relationship with customers and colleagues
