Our mission is to make everyone's day brighter – our Globallers, our audiences, our partners, and our communities. Whether we're in the studio, building world‑class technology, or securing Outdoor advertising partnerships, we make sure we're doing it as a team.

Your Role

As a Security Officer at Global, you will play a critical role in protecting our people, property, and reputation. This position combines traditional security duties with control room responsibilities, ensuring a proactive and joined‑up approach to security. You will manage access control, monitor CCTV systems, respond to incidents, conduct regular patrols, and provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors. You will be the first point of contact in emergency situations, while also supporting security processes, reporting, and project delivery. This role requires professionalism, strong decision‑making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

Access Control & Guest Management

  • Greet and professionally manage all guests, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Prevent unauthorised access, including tailgating.
  • Operate the security helpdesk and manage nationwide access control requests.

Security Operations & Patrols

  • Conduct regular internal and perimeter patrols of the premises.
  • Implement procedures for protestors, trespassers, and suspicious packages.
  • Document and report all security incidents and accidents.
  • Manage deliveries and contractor activity, especially during busy project periods.

Control Room & Technology Duties

  • Monitor CCTV, access control, fire and intruder alarm systems.
  • Operate FOH CCTV, body‑worn cameras, and PTT radios.
  • Ensure equipment functionality is regularly checked and faults are reported.
  • Produce accurate reports and share critical information effectively.

Emergency Procedures

  • Act as the first point of contact in emergencies, including building evacuations and lockdowns.
  • Operate and reset fire panels and Manual Call Points (BGUs).
  • Support and participate in regular evacuation and lockdown drills.

Administration & Communication

  • Conduct thorough shift handovers for seamless operations.
  • Use the helpdesk system to log issues, submit requests, and track resolutions.
  • Handle lost and found property in line with procedure.
  • Manage post room duties and process deliveries.
  • Support with SOPs, reporting, and ongoing process improvements.
What You’ll Love About This Role
  • Think Big: Make a real difference every day by keeping people and property safe.
  • Own It: Take responsibility for delivering security procedures with professionalism.
  • Keep it Simple: Focus on clear communication and efficient execution.
  • Better Together: Work closely with a team of dedicated security professionals.
What Success Looks Like

In your first few months you will have:

  • Become proficient in both front‑line and control room responsibilities.
  • Built strong relationships with colleagues and contributed to daily improvements.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability and excellent customer service.
  • Responded effectively to incidents and supported Global’s emergency procedures.
