Securitas UK in London is seeking a Security Officer to protect people, property and assets while delivering excellent customer service. You’ll carry out regular patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, control site access and manage visitor passes, while keeping accurate records and supporting traffic management.

With 42 hours per week and a 4 on/4 off rota, the role pays £17 per hour. From day one, you’ll access development opportunities, mentorship and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor licence.
• Previous corporate security experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow security procedures.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.

Responsabilités

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.

This role as a Security Officer will involve carrying out regular internal and external patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, controlling site access, managing visitor passes, and maintaining accurate records. You will also support traffic management, conduct routine security equipment checks, and respond professionally to security-related incidents while maintaining the highest standards of safety and service.
