Job Introduction

We're looking for a dedicated Security Guard to join our team based in King's Lynn, playing a key role in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for colleagues, visitors, and contractors. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, remains calm under pressure, and understands the importance of excellent customer service alongside strong security awareness.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage site access control, ID checks, and reception duties, ensuring staff, students, and visitors comply with site procedures
  • Maintain the safety and security of the site, its occupants, and property, including responding to alarms, emergencies, and prohibited items
  • Provide a highly visible security presence, offering guidance, support, and excellent customer service to learners, staff, and visitors
  • Support site stakeholders and teams (including bar and main site teams), assisting with conflict management, incident response, and required paperwork
  • Ensure full compliance with company, client, and statutory policies, including health & safety, fire safety, COSHH, and emergency procedures
What you bring:
  • Experience working in a security, corporate reception, or customer-facing environment with a strong focus on safety and professionalism
  • Hold a valid SIA CCTV licence (essential), with a good understanding of access control and monitoring systems
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic security or booking/access systems
  • Professional appearance and calm, approachable manner, with a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Experience supporting site operations, including incident reporting, administrative procedures, and compliance with company and client policies
