Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Relief Retail Security Officer for Croydon-area stores (Croydon, Purley, Sutton, Wimbledon, Streatham, Dulwich). The role focuses on safe, welcoming store experiences while maintaining professional security standards in a premium retail setting.

You will support customers and colleagues, respond to incidents, and help create positive moments through everyday interactions. Strong communication and calm judgment are essential.

Qualifications

Location: M&S Croydon, Purley, Sutton, Wimbledon, Streatham, Dulwich

Salary - £14.90 per hour

Guaranteed hours 30

Must work weekends

The role

This is a customer-facing role within a premium retail environment where safety, professionalism and service must work together seamlessly.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while also contributing positively to the customer journey and wider store experience.

This includes:

• Helping de-escalate challenging situations calmly and respectfully
