Working Pattern: Monday - Friday (07:00 - 19:00)

Hourly Rate: £12.60

The Role

As a Security Officer with ISS, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment, protecting your colleagues and our customer's property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the site and everyone on it
• Stay vigilant at all times, identifying and responding to any suspicious activity
• Prevent unauthorised access and maintain control of entry points
• Perform unlocks, lock-ups, patrols, and alarm setting or unsetting as required
• Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV, access control, fire, and intruder alarms
• Keep up to date with on-site activity and maintain full awareness of daily events
• Provide a professional and welcoming presence, greeting staff and visitors and offering assistance where needed
• Build positive, professional relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders

About You

• Previous security experience
• A valid front-line Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection SIA licence
• Due to the nature of the site, Security Officers will undergo further clearance checks (BS7858/BPSS)
• Knowledge and experience with security systems and related technology
• Great attention to detail and a consistent approach
• A team player with good customer service skills
• New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
