Argenbright Security Europe Limited (trading as ASEL) is seeking a Relief Retail Security Officer for weekend shifts in Birkenhead. The role involves visible deterrence, incident response, and in-store guarding duties across busy retail locations.

You must hold a valid SIA licence, with full training provided if needed, and be able to provide a complete five-year work or education history along with right-to-work documents and proof of address at interview. Benefits apply as listed.

Responsibilities

Completing colleague and contractor searches when required, in line with customer company policy.
Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets or phones for daily activity planning.
Producing detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities.

Position Details

Location:Laird St,Birkenhead

Hours:15 Hours

Shift Pattern:15 Hours - Sat 12:00-21:00 & Sun 10:00-1600

Hourly Rate:13.45

Main Responsibilities

We believe that the best approach to deterring criminal activity is to understand the vulnerabilities and risks of each location and to tailor our approach to effectively reduce them.

As a ReliefSecurity Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrent, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities.

You will be expected to carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in-store, including:

The Person

To be an effective Security Officer, you must be a confident communicator, capable of providing detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity or incidents. You will need to be welcoming and patient with customers and able to handle conflict in a calm and professional manner.

Required Experience and Qualifications

You must hold a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
Previous experience in a retail security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
