Job summary

Marks & Spencer in Basingstoke is seeking a Security Officer to protect customers, employees and stock while delivering exceptional service. You will carry a visible security presence, assist customers and colleagues, and help prevent loss in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires a valid SIA licence and prior security experience. A calm, professional approach, strong communication skills and enthusiasm are essential for success.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Security Officer at M&S, you'll help create a safe and positive shopping experience by:

• Providing a visible and professional security presence within store

• Delivering world class customer service to customers and colleagues

• Helping prevent loss, theft and anti-social behaviour

• Using store technology including body-worn cameras and mobile reporting systems

• Responding calmly and professionally to incidents and emergencies

• Maintaining a safe environment by identifying and reporting hazards

• Supporting compliance with company policies and legal requirements
