Security Control Room Manager (Highly responsive/reactive environment)

2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday (there is flexibility on the working hours)

On call 1 weekend out of 4 (standby allowance and call out fee will be additional pay)

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum

The role

Our Security Control Room Manager will be responsible for the running of a portfolio of sites working closely with their Control Room Supervisors, Response Officers, Static Officers and Patrol Officers.

This position at times, will be working in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment, managing all escalated telephone calls, emails and radio communication. As the manager, you will have responsibility for ongoing recruitment and training of the control room officers and when applicable the other teams as well as implementing policies, procedures and new systems.

Must have candidate background for Security Control Room Manager
  • Previous experience working in a Control Room Supervising/Managing a team of Control Room Officers
  • Previously held a SIA CCTV license (currently holding this license will be advantageous)
  • UK Driving license
Responsibilities and Accountabilities for Security Control Room Manager
  • Delivering security expertise to all clients who will be a mixture of corporate, HNW & UHNW
  • Obtaining client requirements, including monitoring times, special instructions, known vehicles, and persons and passing this information forward to onboarding and to the Control Room Officers
  • Compiling weekly / monthly client reports for monitoring and mobile clients.
  • Addressing client questions or complaints regarding monitoring, completing investigations, and reporting findings.
  • Ensuring complaints are turned into learning opportunities, with corrective actions implemented.
  • Developing and innovating the control room and in‑house capabilities to advance and improve the services offered to customers, including pro‑active duty of care.
  • Ensuring all mobile alarm activation requests are handled through to completion
  • Be the go‑to escalation point for all shift‑related issues
  • Manage the performance and welfare of Security Officers
  • Lead incident response and command real‑time operations
  • Support staff development and enforce high standards
  • Providing general support to all areas of the business including technical queries.
  • Ensuring a full daily handover is completed of the previous shift's activities to the relevant people.
