Job summary

Summer Browning Associates is partnering with a Central Government client to appoint a Security Lead for an initial 6-month assignment in London, with hybrid working. The role requires a senior security leadership background and active security clearance within a high-threat government environment.

The candidate will drive secure cloud transformation, establish security strategy and governance, and lead multi-agency collaboration to ensure robust risk management and compliance across programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading security programmes for large-scale cloud transformation in high-threat environments.
• Strong understanding of security policy, architecture and assurance.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CAF, NCSC CAF).
• Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead security programmes for the client’s cloud transformation in a high-threat government setting.
• Develop and implement security strategy, policy, and assurance across programmes.
• Influence and guide secure working practices with government and multi-agency stakeholders.
