Job summary

Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) is launching a two-year Security Graduate Scheme based at MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol. You’ll gain hands-on security management experience while studying toward professional qualifications and earning a starting salary of £28,800.

Through rotational placements you’ll shadow roles across cyber, project and corporate security, building expertise in protecting people, information and physical assets and pursuing Level 3 certificates in Security Management and

• GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent) at minimum grade 4
• An honours degree at a minimum classification of 2:2

Responsibilities

• Security Management supports and enables the effective delivery and operational success of the Armed Forces and wider Ministry of Defence by protecting people, information and physical assets.
• You’ll develop your expertise in security management through on-the-job training and professionally recognised qualifications, including a Level 3 Certificate in Security Management from the Security Institute and a Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management.
• Through rotational placements, you’ll shadow a range of security management roles across cyber security, project security and corporate security to gain well‑rounded knowledge and experience.
• This two-year development programme aims to prepare you to be future leaders in the field.

What is the DE&S Security Graduate Scheme?

Security is vital to everything we do at DE&S and wider defence. It supports and enables operational success as well as the wider work of the Ministry of Defence by protecting people, information and physical assets.

The DE&S Security Profession is responsible for the effective delivery of security across the organisation. During this two-year development programme, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in security management as well as specialised training, all whilst studying towards professional qualifications.
