Job summary

Synthesia - Marketplace Account is seeking a Security Engineer to manage our security posture and protect our application from threats. You will oversee pentesting, firewall management, SOC II controls, and security audits, with a focus on both red and blue team exercises.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in web app pentesting, cloud security and experience in an information security team, plus scripting skills in Python/Perl/Ruby/PHP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of penetration testing experience, web apps a focus.
• Experience securing cloud-based infrastructures and solutions.
• Experience on an information security team.
• Knowledge of OWASP vulnerabilities and best practices.
• Familiarity with SOC II controls and audits.
• Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Ruby, or PHP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct penetration tests against web applications and infrastructure.
• Validate security on new hardware and software infrastructure.
• Assist frontline staff with security inquiries.
• Manage firewall rules and internal pentesting.
• Oversee SOC II controls and external pentesting.
• Prioritize work via backlog system (Jira).
