Pointer Ltd. is recruiting a highly motivated Security Engineer to join our team. You will inspect, maintain, and install intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems, managing your workload and delivering expert advice on-site.

You will participate in standby and call-out rotas to respond quickly to urgent service requests. This role requires at least 3 years in security/electrical, a full UK driving license, and eligibility to work in the UK.

Qualificações

• Qualification or equivalent experience in electrical or security industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in security/electrical sector.
• Proven service experience in security systems.
• Experience with IDS (Galaxy), IP CCTV, Fire Alarms, and Access Control.
• Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK.

Responsabilidades

• Manage workload efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet service and installation deadlines.
• Diagnose faults, repair issues, and replace components to ensure reliability.
• Complete all documentation promptly and accurately per company policies and regulations.
• Keep vehicle stocked with essential tools and materials for on-site efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service with expert advice and a professional demeanour.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and efficiency.

Job Summary

Pointer Ltd. are recruiting for a highly motivated and skilled Security Engineer to join our team. As a Service Engineer you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and installing a wide range of security systems. You will manage your workload efficiently, provide excellent customer service (this is at the heart of this role), and you will be expected to deliver expert advice. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the chance to make a real impact on system reliability and customer satisfaction.

As a part of this role, you will actively participate in the standby and call-out rota, responding quickly and effectively to urgent service requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and install intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Manage your own workload efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet service and installation deadlines.
• Diagnose faults, repair issues, and replace components as necessary to ensure systems operate reliably and efficiently.
• Complete all necessary documentation promptly and accurately, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
• Keep your vehicle fully stocked with essential tools and materials, ensuring maximum efficiency on-site.
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering expert advice and support while maintaining a professional, approachable demeanour.
• Continuously seek to improve service delivery, identifying opportunities for enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in the electrical or security industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in the security and/or electrical industry.
• Proven experience in a service environment, particularly in security systems.
• Proven track record and strong knowledge of installing and maintaining security systems, such as; IDS (Galaxy), IP CCTV, Fire Alarm Systems, and Access Control Systems.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to end-to-end project ownership.
• In-depth knowledge of current products and technologies within the security industry.
• An ambassador for the Pointer brand and a strong advocate of company values.
• Current full driving license.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
