Luex Group is supporting the recruitment of a skilled Security Engineer on behalf of our client, a provider of professional security solutions.

We are seeking an experienced engineer with strong technical expertise in CCTV and burglar alarm installations to join a growing and highly respected security systems team.

The Security Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining electronic security systems, including CCTV surveillance systems, burglar/intruder alarms, and associated access control equipment. This role requires an engineer with excellent technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations that meet client needs and industry standards.

Installation & Configuration
  • Install, wire, mount, and configure CCTV systems (IP and analogue).
  • Install and program intruder/burglar alarm systems.
  • Set up cabling, power supplies, network equipment, and control panels.
  • Configure and test system software, sensors, and monitoring platforms.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with regulations.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • Perform routine maintenance on CCTV and alarm systems.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out timely repairs.
  • Conduct full system testing and commissioning.
  • Provide end-user guidance and training where needed.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Create installation reports, maintenance logs, and system documentation.
  • Ensure all systems meet NSI/NACOSS, SSAIB, BS EN or relevant local standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment and site work.
Customer Interaction
  • Communicate clearly with clients to understand system requirements.
  • Provide professional guidance on installation and system use.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and represent the company positively.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
  • Demonstrated experience installing CCTV (IP/analogue, NVRs, DVRs).
  • Proven experience with burglar/intruder alarm installation and programming.
  • Familiarity with leading brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Texecom, Pyronix, Honeywell, etc.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Strong networking knowledge: IP addressing, switches, routers, PoE.
  • Competence with installation tools and cable management.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Electronic Security, or similar (preferred).
  • Manufacturer-specific certifications (advantageous).
  • Valid driver's license.
