Job description
Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Security Duty Manager to join a team, working on a well known Government contract within Milton Keynes. This role is a full time permanent contract, working Monday to Friday, earning £45,900 per annum. Please note this role will require a government DV clearance if successful.

Responsibilities
  • Manage physical security, protection of client assets and people.
  • Performance management and close monitoring of personnel training and development needs, working closely with the Deputy Ops Manager.
  • Deliver and manage service level agreements.
  • Liaise with the Deputy Operations Manager through monthly audits on all security practices and process, including AI's and PI's.
  • Ensure compliance with assignment instructions and post instructions across the security team.
  • Manage compliance with all health & safety legislation.
  • Manage incidents ensuring escalation in accordance with client specifications.
  • Ensure staffing levels are compliant and manage leave requests within agreed guidelines.
  • Manage the security officers on shift, ensuring the distribution of daily rosters, duties, briefings on special instructions and checking their understanding.
  • Manage gaps and absences in collaboration with London duty managers and the office manager, identifying officers when required and organising travel, booking, and associated administration.
  • Maintain high standards at all times, ensuring officers are well presented and perform duties with care and confidence.
  • Ensure incident reporting is of a high quality and delivered in good time.
  • Promote a secure and safe working environment through implementation and continuous improvement of agreed health & safety actions.
  • Manage the team in a positive manner to achieve cooperation and encourage individuals to challenge practices with open expression.
  • Manage client complaints professionally and in a timely manner, providing assurance and adjustments to prevent repeat service level reductions.
  • Ensure all equipment provided to assist security is fully operational and any issues are reported.
  • Maintain a robust key management process and key registers to the highest order.
  • Respond to other day‑to‑day responsibilities in a professional and thorough manner to meet the needs of the business and the client.
Qualifications
  • Client focus, excellent customer liaison and understanding of expectations within client environment.
  • Resource planning and excellent organisational skills.
  • PC literate.
  • People management.
  • High level communication and presentation skills.
  • Good team management, forward planning and the ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management skills, highly organised, and ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of principles of delegation.
  • Valid SIA licence.
  • Duty Security Manager must be DV cleared.
