Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a backend data engineer to join the Security Data Analytics team in the UK. You will design and operate data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines, build Snowflake models, and automate data handling for AI-enabled analytics.

You will partner with security, IT, and engineering teams across a global footprint to deliver trusted, analytics-ready data. The role focuses on reliability, structure, and performance of the data layer, working with

Qualifications

• 4+ years delivering analytics, data engineering, or data platform solutions.
• Hands-on SQL and strong knowledge of relational, columnar, or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake as the primary data platform.
• Experience building data pipelines and data modeling for analytics or data warehouses.
• Experience operating data pipelines in production: monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Scripting and automation experience (Python, Java, R, or similar).
• Experience preparing data for AI-enabled analytics or ML workflows.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and platform SDKs/APIs.
• Software engineering practices for analytics code: version control, testing, CI.
• Experience with large, complex data sets; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines.
• Build and maintain Snowflake data models and warehouse objects.
• Develop automation to reduce manual data handling and improve reliability.
• Prepare AI-ready data and support AI-enabled analytics workflows.
• Add business and technical context to security data to improve prioritization.
• Apply software engineering practices to analytics code, including version control, testing, and CI.
• Run and support pipelines in production: monitor health, respond to failures.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data and reporting.
• Document data models, pipelines, and solutions; share knowledge with teammates.
