Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Security Consultant to help reduce cyber risk across client technology projects within the UK health, public sector, Defence and Central Government. You will define security requirements, perform threat modelling, and ensure effective controls and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work on cutting‑edge security challenges and collaborate with a global network of experts, gaining wide exposure to cloud, hybrid and on‑premises environments and ongoing

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge in public cloud, application security, networking or on‑premises infrastructure.
• Understanding of threat modelling, security controls and risk analysis.
• Experience across cloud, hybrid, third‑party and non‑standard environments.
• Familiarity with at least one recognised security framework.
• Ability to translate technical security concepts into practical guidance for delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Reduce cyber risk within technology projects by ensuring security requirements, controls and monitoring are identified and evidenced.
• Conduct threat modelling activities aligned with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK to define controls.
• Define monitoring and logging requirements to detect failures or incidents in live environments.
• Support procurement by developing security requirements and contractual schedules.
• Maintain traceability linking obligations, threats, controls and risk decisions.
• Provide assurance evidence to support go‑live and in‑service risk decisions.
• Interpret laws and standards and translate them into practical security requirements for teams.
• Support governance by ensuring security requirements are understood and evidenced throughout delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams to embed security controls and risk management.
