Job summary

A leading cybersecurity firm is looking for a Security Consultant to join their Cyber Security function. You will establish relationships between security and technology, acting as a liaison between operations and broader corporate functions. This fast-paced role involves advocating for security practices and communicating strategies effectively. The position requires 50% onsite work in Edinburgh and occasional travel to London and Ireland. Relevant cybersecurity certifications will be advantageous.

Security Consultant

We are seeking a Security Consultant to join our clients wider Cyber Security function,. You will be the key to helping to establish and cultivate essential relationships between Security and wider Technology Functions. You will act as a conduit between operations and the broader group, ensuring alignment between business objectives and security policies. The business is fast-paced so proactive and strong minded individuals are essential.

This role will be 50% on site policy in the city centre Edinburgh office and also requires 1-2 days per month split between London and Ireland offices. This additional travel time is taken from your 50% onsite schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business areas to align their objectives with security policies.
  • Serve as the primary cybersecurity liaison to senior business leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Communicate cybersecurity strategies, current security posture, and development roadmap effectively.
  • Ensure alignment of cybersecurity initiatives with business objectives.

Essential Skills
  • Demonstrable experience in building and leveraging relationships within an enterprise.
  • Strong background in Cyber Security, sufficient to engage effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both technical and commercial contexts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • CISSP, CISM, or CEH certifications are advantageous.
