Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking Mechanical Design & Product Definition Engineers to support defence programmes based from Inchinnan, near Glasgow. You will work on design, integration and certification of aerospace systems across development and in-service projects.

You will translate engineering requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to technical assurance and CAD deliverables in a challenging, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design, product development or engineering integration.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing and product definition principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components to meet specifications.
• Integrate product designs across subsystems.
• Design structures and installations for assemblies.
• Develop mechanical control units and interfaces.
• Analyze transmission systems for performance.
• Develop turbomachinery components and compatibility.
• Define product data and CAD deliverables.
• Advance design development and provide technical assurance.
