Job description

We tackle the most complex problems in quantitative finance, by bringing scientific clarity to financial complexity.

From our London HQ, we unite top researchers and engineers in an environment that values deep exploration and methodical execution - because the best ideas take time to evolve. Together we’re building a world-class platform to amplify our teams’ most powerful ideas.

Every breakthrough is built on strong foundations. In our Strategy and Insights team, you’ll work across disciplines to drive the strategy, culture and structure that enable our success.

Take the next step in your career.

The role

Security Assurance is not a traditional assurance function. We are a team of experienced technologists and security practitioners that provides the Board and Executive Management Team (EMT) with independent, insightful and pragmatic observations to help drive real security improvements in our business.

We review the systems, processes and capabilities that protect our most critical information, assessing whether the security outcomes expected by the Board are being achieved and identifying opportunities for improvement. Our work combines deep security expertise with data-driven and AI-enabled analysis to provide clear, actionable findings.

As a member of the team, you will gain broad visibility across a complex, technology-driven organisation, working with stakeholders from engineering teams through to senior executives and Board members. This is an opportunity to influence security outcomes across the business while helping shape the future of modern security assurance.

Reporting into the Head of Security Assurance, this role will be responsible for:

  • Scoping and executing in-depth security reviews
  • Assessing current- and target-state security capabilities against good practice
  • Leveraging data analytics, automation and AI techniques to enhance evidence gathering, analysis and assurance coverage
  • Writing reports that concisely articulate findings for consideration by the Board and EMT
  • Discussing conclusions with stakeholders, up to and including Board and EMT
  • Providing selective direct input into security improvements being developed by the operational parts of the business, leveraging your own security experience
  • Building and maintaining a broad understanding of our business’s complex and rapidly changing organisation, processes, technologies and capabilities
  • Building strong working relationships with teams across the business, including occasional travel to the US, whilst maintaining the independence required of an assurance team
  • Proactively helping to continuously improve security assurance capabilities, including through the practical application of AI
Who are we looking for?
