Job summary

Consult is seeking a Security Architect for an Outside IR35 contract on a Defence modernisation programme in Preston. The role is hybrid with 3 days on-site per week, focusing on hands-on delivery of security architecture artifacts and threat modelling.

You will work with senior architects and digital engineering stakeholders to produce design packs, reusable patterns, and training materials, applying secure-by-design principles and cyber assurance across the Digital Engineering domain.

Qualifications

• Extensive Security Architecture / Security Consulting experience.
• Strong track record designing and reviewing secure infrastructure.
• Proven experience applying secure-by-design principles.
• Experience with Cyber assurance for Digital Engineering, secure architectural controls, and pattern-based design.
• SC clearance essential; DV preferred (or SC with ability to progress).

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver core security architecture outputs.
• Produce Threat Modelling Report.
• Develop Security Requirements Specification.

We have multiple positions available for SC and DV Cleared candidates

Hybrid working in Preston - On-site 3 days per week

Exciting assignment working on a Defence modernisation programme!

We are seeking a Cyber Security Architectswith a hands-on delivery experience who excels in applied security architecture, secure-by-design principles, and engineering-led security integration.

You will be a part of a bigger team, working with a group of a Senior Security Architects and Digital Engineering stakeholders to produce security architecture artifacts, threat modelling, design assurance, and reusable patterns that strengthen the programme’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

You will lead and deliver core security architecture outputs including:

• Digital Engineering Security Artifacts and Engagement Report
• Security Requirements Specification
• Security Principles Framework
• Infrastructure Mapping Document & Security Architecture Design Pack
• Threat Modelling Report
• Reusable Security Pattern Library
• Knowledge Transfer Pack (training materials, handover content, recorded walkthroughs)

We are looking for someone with:

• Initial contract will be for 3-6 months, with an option to extend (this programme is planned for few years)
