Sanderson in London/Milton Keynes is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Architect & Engineering Lead to shape the security transformation, sitting between Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering to translate strategy into practical, well‑engineered solutions.
You’ll need senior credibility and experience transforming security capabilities in complex environments, with a track record of guiding architects and engineers in hybrid delivery models.
I’m working with an established UK organisation going through a significant business, technology and cyber security transformation, and we’re looking for a senior Cyber Security Architect & Engineering Lead to play a key role in shaping what comes next.
This isn’t an opportunity to simply inherit a mature security function and maintain what’s already there.
A new Cyber Security strategy has been approved, investment is being made across cloud, digital platforms, AI and modern technology, and the security capability is being built and matured alongside that transformation.
We’re looking for someone who can sit between Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture and Engineering – helping define the security roadmap while ensuring that strategy translates into practical, well‑engineered security solutions.
You’ll already be operating at Principal / Lead Security Architect level, or be an experienced Senior Security Architect ready to take on broader technical leadership.
We’re particularly interested in people with experience across:
You don’t need to be the person configuring every tool day-to-day, but you do need strong technical credibility and the ability to challenge, guide and work effectively with Architects and Engineers.
Experience helping an organisation build, mature or transform its security capability would be particularly valuable.
This could suit someone from Financial Services, Insurance, FinTech, InsurTech, WealthTech or another complex/regulatory environment who wants the opportunity to have more influence and ownership.
London or Milton Keynes – Hybrid
The real attraction here is the opportunity to build and influence. You’ll be joining at a point where the direction has been set, investment is happening and there is genuine scope to shape how Security Architecture & Engineering operates for the future.
