Job summary

Spencer Rose is partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation to recruit a Cloud Security Architect on a permanent basis, based in Central London. The role will deliver High Level Designs and documentation across the Azure Cloud estate.

You will collaborate with Technology, Cloud Operations and Security teams to define secure cloud architectures, provide architectural assurance, and promote secure-by-design principles across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and assuring cloud security architectures in enterprise settings.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud architecture best practices and controls.
• Experience with risk assessments and threat modeling in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain cloud security architecture with IT and security teams.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to design secure end-to-end systems.
• Develop reference architectures, reusable patterns and controls for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
• Provide architectural assurance for cloud solutions emphasizing security and resilience.
• Lead security design reviews and governance through the Technology Design Authority.
• Promote secure-by-design principles across technology initiatives.

Permanent - £110,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Hybrid working - x2 days per week in office (Central London)

Spencer rose are partnered with a leading Financial Services organisation who are on the look out for a Cloud Security Architect on a permanent basis, based in Central London. Within this role, the Cloud Security Architect will be responsible for providing the High Level Designs and Documentation across their Azure Cloud infrastructure estate. .

The Cloud Security Architect will have the following responsibilities -

• Work with the Technology and Cloud Operations, and the Information and Cyber Security Teams to define and maintain the cloud security architecture.
• Partner with enterprise, solution, data and AI architects to create cohesive and secure end-to-end designs.
• Define and evolve cloud security architecture, including reference architectures, reusable patterns and security controls across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments.
• Provide architectural assurance for cloud-based solutions, ensuring security, resilience and compliance are incorporated from the outset.
• Lead and contribute to security design reviews and governance activities through the Technology Design Authority.
• Promote secure-by-design principles across all technology initiatives.

The Cloud Security Architect will need to have the following skills/experience -

• Strong experience designing and assuring cloud security architectures (Ideally Azure) in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with cloud security tooling, posture management and threat detection approaches.
• Must have knowledge of Azure Cloud Architecture best practice.
• Previous experience within Security Assurance, conducting Risk Assessments and Threat Modelling
