SECURITY ARCHITECT - AWS

Summer-Browning Associates is supporting our client in the Central Government who is seeking a Security Architect for an initial 6-month assignment, with the possibility of extension.

Location: London Hybrid

The ideal candidate will possess an active NPPV3 and SC clearance, along with a strong background in Security Architecture within a high-threat government environment.

The following skills and experience are required:

  • A solid understanding of High-Level Infrastructure Architecture (HLD).
  • Experience in implementing and managing security monitoring solutions, as well as developing custom alerts to detect anomalies and potential threats across AWS services.
  • Proficiency in designing and managing security policies to enable conditional access to the AWS environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing logging and monitoring solutions using Microsoft Defender for Cloud in conjunction with Microsoft EntraID, facilitating integration between EntraID and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Experience in enabling Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts with tools such as Terraform to enforce security configurations across the identity platform.
  • Ability to analyse security data using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, along with integration with Security Lake to centralise and enhance insights across multiple data sources.
  • A background in Security Operations within the Defence, Nuclear, or Central Government sectors, or other secure environments.
