Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates is supporting our client in the Central Government who is seeking a Security Architect for an initial 6-month assignment, with the possibility of extension. Location: London | Hybrid

The ideal candidate will hold security clearance and have a strong background in Security Architecture within a high-threat government environment, including cloud hosting, identity management and secure DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of High-Level Security Architecture (HLD) and secure-by-design approach.
• Experience leading security architecture for large-scale cloud hosting (Azure and GCP) in high-threat government environments.
• Extensive knowledge of security architecture, including identity management, device security, workstation protection, cloud hosting, collaboration tools, networking, cryptography, operations and data governance.
• Strong understanding of secure DevOps practices, CI/CD controls and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) hardening.
• Experience applying security controls to AI and machine learning components,
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, SABSA, TOGAF).
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are desirable.

SECURITY ARCHITECT

Location: London | Hybrid

The ideal candidate will hold security clearance and have a strong background in Security Architecture within a high-threat government environment.

The following skills and experience are required:

• A solid understanding of High-Level Security Architecture (HLD) and a secure-by-design approach.
• Experience leading security architecture for large-scale cloud hosting (specifically Azure and GCP) in high-threat government Tier 2/3 secure environments.
• Extensive knowledge of security architecture, including identity management, device security, workstation protection, cloud hosting, collaboration tools, networking, cryptography, operations, and data governance.
• Strong understanding of secure DevOps practices, CI/CD controls, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) hardening.
• Experience applying security controls to AI and machine learning components,
• Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, as well as SABSA and TOGAF. -
• Preferred Qualifications: Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
