Job summary

Booker is seeking a Security Analyst to protect and maintain our branch systems across a diverse tech estate, including Linux servers and Android devices. This hands-on role sits in the Technology Security team and focuses on improving controls, handling vulnerabilities, and supporting projects to keep systems secure and compliant.

You will collaborate with Technology and Operations teams to implement governance, PCI DSS practices and secure configurations, while growing your cyber security

Qualifications

• Experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux-based systems.
• Experience working with Android devices, mobile technologies or endpoint management tools.
• An understanding of core security concepts such as vulnerability management, endpoint security and access controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to prioritise work and manage competing demands.
• A proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor security patching and software upgrades across branch systems.
• Review security scan results and support the remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Monitor software versions and ensure systems remain within supported lifecycles.
• Investigate and resolve issues affecting system security, stability and availability.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of security controls across the Booker estate.
• Maintain accurate asset inventories and technical documentation.
• Support security and technology projects, delivering agreed outcomes to time and quality expectations.
• Work collaboratively with technology, operational and supplier teams to support business needs.
• Follow change management, security and governance processes.
