The role will be to deliver compliant administrative security processes including but not limited to 5-year background screening in accordance with the Heathrow ID Pass Standard and CAA/DFT legislation and complete all paperwork required to successfully obtain an airside pass for aircrew, cabin crew, engineers and ground staff employed by Loganair. The role will also support the administration of the wider safety and compliance management system as required.
Responsibilities
The main activities include the below, however this is not exhaustive and reasonable responsibilities not listed below will be carried out, with training and support provided where required.
- Conducting 5-year background checks/screening in the aviation industry
- Speak to applicants and ability to explain procedures for pass applications
- Manage ID Gateway and airport pass application processes.
- Authorised signatory process may be required.
- Conducting CRC Checks and advise employees on the process.
- Conduct security interviews to CAA standards
- Collating reference packs
- Contacting referees by phone, email or letter and identifying documents required for the process.
- Speak to applicants and ability to explain procedures for pass applications
- Liaise with referees, applicants, airport authorities, airline partners and other relevant third parties.
- Ensure appropriate and accurate reporting of pass application process
- Support security threat identification, risk analysis, and risk mitigation across operations
- Ensure fully comply with Company Safety & Security Policies and Standards
- Management and control of the Head Office pass system
- Training of new staff members as and when they join the organisation
- Support the administration of the wider safety and compliance management system as required
- Visit operational bases as required
- Any other reasonable duty as requested
Skills and Knowledge
Required:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organisation, time management, and attention to detail
- High level of computer literacy including MS Office
Preferred:
- Knowledge of security management systems
- Familiar with all Company and CAA/DFT legislation and policy
- Knowledge of airline systems
- ID Gateway and other airport ID process knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of IOSA
