Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Network Architect to own secure network architecture across defence programmes, shaping decisions from concept to delivery, within a highly regulated environment. You will lead design reviews, collaborate with security specialists and operations teams, and define roadmaps for secure connectivity and cloud adoption.

This role offers hybrid work in Hertfordshire with 2–3 days onsite, a regional salary around £65,000 plus bonus

Qualifications

• Strong background in network architecture, design and network security.
• Understanding of secure network infrastructure within regulated or high assurance environments.
• Knowledge of network technologies, security controls, segmentation and secure connectivity principles.
• Appreciation of cloud adoption strategies and the challenges of integrating cloud services within secure environments.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading design reviews, governance discussions and technical decision making.

Responsibilities

• Design secure network architectures supporting complex business and operational requirements.
• Provide architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle from concept to implementation.
• Define network security approaches, standards and roadmaps across projects.
• Collaborate with security specialists, network operations, infrastructure engineers and stakeholders to deliver resilient solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews and design discussions to achieve agreement across multiple groups.
• Evaluate new technologies and promote modern infrastructure and cloud-based capabilities where appropriate.
• Support secure network environments across different classifications and operational requirements.
• Contribute to strategic architectural initiatives and project-specific technical challenges.
