Job summary

Wates Group is recruiting a Site Manager for the HMP Gartree project to support a sizeable construction programme within a live custodial environment. You will coordinate site activities, lead subcontractors and ensure works are delivered to high safety and quality standards.

You will work closely with the project team, client stakeholders and planning professionals to keep the programme on track and resolve issues swiftly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects.
• Strong leadership and coordination of subcontractors and teams.
• Solid understanding of H&S requirements and live environments.
• Ability to maintain programme and adapt to changes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and coordinate project activities.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors and site teams for safe, efficient delivery.
• Drive health, safety and environmental performance across the project.
• Monitor quality to ensure works meet project requirements.
• Coordinate logistics, resources and site activities to maintain the programme.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise disruption.
• Collaborate with commercial, design and planning teams.
• Build positive relationships with client representatives and stakeholders.
• Support project reporting and progress monitoring.
