Provide accurate setting out, quality control, and verification of works against design specifications and tolerances.

Manage junior engineers and oversee QA requirements — ITPs, as-built records, surveys, test results and assurance documentation.

Work closely with Project Engineers and Supervisors to plan works, develop short-term programmes, and manage resources.

Liaise with the design team, temporary works coordinators, and subcontractors to address technical queries and ensure buildability.

Maintain strict safety, environmental, and quality standards in line with HS2 requirements and CDM regulations.

Coordinate inspections and approvals with client representatives and local stakeholders.

Assist in resolving construction challenges, sequencing constraints, clashes and design changes through proactive risk management.

Support innovation and continual improvement in construction processes and engineering delivery.

Skills & Experience

Strong experience in structures delivery on major civil engineering schemes (bridges, RC works, viaducts preferred).

Previous experience on HS2 or similar high-profile infrastructure desirable.

Proficient in surveying and engineering control equipment (Total Station, GPS etc.).

Confident managing documentation and digital records using modern systems (including BIM workflows).

Capable of leading small engineering teams and fostering a collaborative, safety-first culture.

Qualifications
