Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London seeks a Section Engineer to support the Norwich to Tilbury electricity infrastructure programme. This site-based role covers major civil works including overhead lines, substations, earthworks and drainage.

Travel between project locations is required. You will plan, coordinate and deliver construction activities with safety and quality at the forefront, reporting to Senior Engineers and working with project teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Engineer or Section Engineer or similar.
• Strong setting out and engineering control experience.
• Background in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, highways or major construction projects.
• CSCS card is required.
• Qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Able to pass a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe and successful delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure works.
• Carry out setting out and engineering control duties.
• Coordinate site engineering activities and provide technical support to construction teams.
• Ensure quality inspections, assurance processes and records are maintained.
• Produce and manage engineering documentation and reports.
• Support works involving earthworks, highways, drainage, structures, piling and substation infrastructure.
• Work closely with Senior Engineers, Section Managers and Project Teams to drive project delivery.
• Utilise digital engineering tools and construction reporting systems.
• Promote best practice in health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
