Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Section Engineer for a major civil engineering and tunnelling project in North Wales. You will manage a section of works, oversee Site Engineers and ensure delivery to drawings, specs and programme.

The contract is 12 months, outside IR35 with an all-in rate of £400 per day and accommodation not provided. You will work with the delivery team to meet safety, QA and technical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as Section Engineer in civil engineering.
• Strong background in heavy civils or major infrastructure.
• Experience coaching Site Engineers and QA processes.
• Good understanding of temporary works and QA assurance.
• Familiarity with tunnelling, shafts and underground works is advantageous.

Section Engineer Major Civil Engineering & Tunnelling Project

We are looking for an experienced Section Engineer to join the delivery team on a major civil engineering and energy infrastructure project in North Wales.

The project involves significant underground and tunnelling works, shafts, structures and associated heavy civils.

The Role

• Manage engineering delivery across your section of works
• Oversee Site Engineers, setting out and engineering control
• Ensure works are delivered to drawings, specifications and programme
• Manage ITPs, QA documentation and engineering records
• Coordinate temporary works and resolve technical/design issues
• Work closely with site management, subcontractors and the wider delivery team
• Ensure works meet project health, safety, environmental and quality requirements

Experience Required

• Previous Section Engineer experience within civil engineering
• Strong heavy civils or major infrastructure background
• Experience managing and supporting Site Engineers
• Strong setting out, QA and technical assurance experience
• Good understanding of temporary works
• Tunnelling, shafts, underground infrastructure, energy or major RC experience would be advantageous
