Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd is seeking an experienced Engineer/Section Engineer to join their public grounds work scheme in Leeds. The role involves setting out works, liaising with project planners, ensuring compliance, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Experience within a project-based organisation.
• Ability to deliver reports in an objective and persuasive manner.
• Ability to influence others, including senior management.

Responsibilities

• Sets out the works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Liaises with project planners on construction programmes.
• Checks materials for compliance with specified requirements.
• Quality control and record keeping as per project plans.

Skills

Good knowledge of the sector

Interpersonal and communication skills

Numerate and articulate

Working knowledge of Control of Temporary Works

Education

Degree / Diploma in Engineering

SMSTS / MSIC

First Aid Course

Lifting Supervisor Certification

Temporary Works Coordinator trained (TWC)

Chartered or working towards professional status
