Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for a Section Engineer to work with Energy on the HWUP Project in Pelham. The role involves site-based civil engineering, surveying, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Resolve technical problems at all levels.
• Carry out inspections per the Inspection and Test Plan promptly.
• Produce survey data and red-lined As-built drawings.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated and in date per policy and manufacturer requirements.
• Ensure construction works comply with contract requirements and approved procedures.
• Provide clear and accurate information to site personnel.
• Supervise outputs and confirm environmental requirements are met.
• Check materials on site meet manufacturer and contract requirements.
• Assist management to update KPIs, material reconciliation and progress reports.

A day in the life of a Murphy Section Engineer:

• Resolving technical problems at all levels.
• Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan in a timely manner.
• The production of survey information and red – lined drawings for the completion of the As-built records.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers’ defined requirements.
• Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate procedures.
• Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties.
• Supervises the outputs and confirms that the project environmental requirements are met.
• Ensure all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer’s recommendations current working practice, contract specification or project requirements.
• Assist the Site Management team to update KPI’s, material reconciliation and progress reports.

• Previous experience within a Section or Site Engineer role
• Experience on Construction or Civil Engineering projects.
• Experienced in surveying and setting out techniques
