Kier Group is seeking a Section Engineer to join their KierBam JV project at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. Job description

We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our KierBam JV project at Devonport Dockyard based in Plymouth, Devon. KierBAM is a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall, currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site.

Location

Site Based, Plymouth, Devon

Hours

Permanent, 45 hours per week

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer, you'll work within the Nuclear team, supporting the delivery of the redevelopment project at the Dockyard.

Your Day To Day Will Include
  • Setting out works within allowable tolerances.
  • Checking setting out points and benchmarks; ensuring equipment has calibration certificates.
  • Preparing sketches for site distribution, ensuring clear communication.
  • Maintaining setting out and dimensional control for accurate construction.
  • Managing systems to review work progress against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
What Are We Looking For?

This role is ideal if:

  • You have a degree in civil engineering or equivalent (e.g., BSc, BEng, Meng, Tech, etc.).
  • You hold SSSTS and CSCS – White PQP/AQP.
  • You may be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE, or other professional bodies.
